I-Illusions is a Belgian independent game studio with experience in multimedia technologies, art installations and games.

In 2016, they released Space Pirate Trainer, a well-received VR shooter game.

For the deluxe edition Space Pirate Trainer DX, which includes a whole new arena shooter, I-Illusions was looking for high quality 3D graphics, optimized for a lightweight VR environment. That’s our kind of job.

Optimized For VR

Current VR devices expect an immersive 3D experience, but don’t have the horsepower of a strong gaming PC. We optimized assets and reused textures and materials wherever possible.

Modularity

For every level, we created a limited set of building blocks. That way, play arenas can be built up in thousands of different ways without hurting performance or things that look out of place.

Stunning Visuals

Our experience with Unity lighting and real-time effects allows us to present the environment in the best possible way.

For this kind of work, we won the Unity Awards Best 3D Visuals Runner-Up 2018, IndieDB Indie of the Year Awards Editor’s Choice Best 3D Visuals 2018 and an Honorable Mention for the GDC Play Best in Play 2018 award.

Prop Design

We use real-life references as a base, but that’s only the starting point. Our props make sure your environment never feels bland or cliché.
